ORIGINAL Model 1842 Musket stock with side plate cut at lower band and CS marking. It has traces of the original cartouche. Cut at lower band shoulder at the correct location. This would be an ideal location to stretch the stock under the lower band. 1.5 - 2 inches was removed from the butt plate towards the lock. Original wood in any condition is difficult to find.
