Replacement wood (OAK) forend section ONLY. Barrel used for visual aid only. This will restore your RIFLE stock to original length. It will require some Minor fitting as seen in pictures. The front band fit is great. The rear band requires minor fitting. Spring slots and nose cap needs fitted. Ideal forend for an Original Springfield Rifle Model 1873-1889 45-70 Trapdoor. It will fit all Models including 1873, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1884 Springfields.
