Replacement wood (OAK) forend section ONLY. Barrel used for visual aid only. This will restore your CADET rifle stock to original length. It will require some fitting as seen in pictures. The front band is fine. The rear band is lose. When stock was fitted they removed to much wood in the depth at the rear barrel channel. This can be resolved by adding some filler in the rear of the barrel channel. Ideal forend for an Original Springfield Cadet Model 1873-1889 45-70 Trapdoor. It will fit all Models including 1873, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1884 Springfields.
